What you can see and do

Tea gardens cover the rolling hillocks around Sreemangal for mile after mile, and that has earned the town the name of tea capital. Rows of green bushes under shade trees, workers plucking leaves and red-earth tracks through the estates are the familiar sights. On the way back, try seven-layer tea at a local stall.

How to get there

Take a bus or CNG from Moulvibazar town; Sreemangal is about 45 minutes away. Go round the estates by rickshaw, CNG or bicycle.

Safety notes

Follow the estate’s rules before entering; do not pick leaves or disturb the workers.
