This evergreen forest in Kamalganj is a key refuge for the endangered hoolock gibbon. At dawn their calls carry across the forest. The Dhaka-Sylhet railway line is laid right through its middle. There are three walking trails. The shortest needs half an hour, the middle one an hour, the longest three hours. Inside are the betel-leaf gardens of a Khasia village.
