What you can see and do
In the monsoon Nikli Haor spreads until no shore is in sight; the small villages then have nothing but water around them. Hire a boat from the embankment and go out to the flooded trees of Chhatirchar. A lunch of fresh haor fish is a large part of the trip.
How to get there
From the railway station area of Kishoreganj town, a CNG auto-rickshaw reaches the Nikli embankment in about 1.5 hours.

Wear a life jacket on a boat; stay off the river when a storm is likely.
