What you can see and do

Chandrabati, a 16th-century poet, is regarded as the first woman poet in Bengali; tradition says she worshipped and wrote at this Shiva temple. The eight-sided brick temple narrows into a tall spire; the Fuleshwari River, on whose bank it was built, no longer exists. A second small temple and a quiet village stand beside it.

How to get there

Take an auto-rickshaw from Kishoreganj town to Kacharipara village in Maijkhapan union, a few kilometres away.

Safety notes

Dress modestly at a place of worship, keep quiet during prayers and ask before taking photographs.
