What you can see and do
At Kuakata the sunrise is at its best from here, Gangamati Char at the eastern end of the beach. In early light thousands of red crabs run over the wet sand, a reserved mangrove forest stands behind, and a creek meets the sea; the crowds of the main beach do not reach here.
How to get there
Come to Kuakata from Patuakhali first. From Zero Point it is about 10 km eastwards along the beach. Motorcycles and vans make the trip.
Safety notes
Follow the lifeguards and flags before you enter the sea; stay out of deep water at high tide or in heavy surf.
