Haringhata Forest and Laldia Beach

Barguna · Beach

What you can see and do

South of Patharghata, between the mouths of the Bishkhali and Baleshwar rivers, lies the Haringhata reserved forest. A long raised walkway and a watchtower lead through the mangroves to Laldia beach, a deserted shore where you will mostly share the sand with red crabs and flocks of birds.

How to get there

From Barguna town cross the Bishkhali and go by bus or motorcycle to Patharghata, then an auto-rickshaw to the forest entrance.

Safety notes

Follow the lifeguards and flags before you enter the sea; stay out of deep water at high tide or in heavy surf.
