What you can see and do

Atia Mosque has stood beside the Louhajang River in Delduar upazila since 1609. Its design mixes two traditions, Sultanate and Mughal. Fine terracotta floral patterns covering its walls are its main feature. Many people recognise the mosque, because the ten-taka banknote once carried its image.

How to get there

From Tangail town, an auto-rickshaw along the Delduar road reaches Atia village in about half an hour.

Safety notes

Dress modestly at a place of worship, keep quiet during prayers and ask before taking photographs.
