What you can see and do

In Barkal upazila, Shuvolong comes down a steep hillside right on the shore of Kaptai Lake. It is at its fullest in the monsoon, when the water drops straight down a high rock wall. Boats from Rangamati town run between hills on both sides, so the journey is as enjoyable as the fall itself. Go in the dry season and you will find little more than dry rock.

How to get there

It is about 1.5 to 2 hours by engine boat from the Parjatan ghat or Reserve Bazar in Rangamati town.

Safety notes

Rocks by a waterfall are slippery and the water can rise suddenly after rain; keep clear of the current.
