What you can see and do

Deep in the hills of Bilaichhari upazila, Dhuppani drops from a great height and spreads like white smoke; 'dhup' means white in the Tanchangya language. You can stand in the hollow behind the falling water. A Buddhist monk meditates nearby, so visitors are asked not to shout or make noise.

How to get there

Go by boat from Rangamati or Kaptai to Bilaichhari, on by boat to Uluchhari, then walk 2 to 2.5 hours with a guide.

Safety notes

Rocks by a waterfall are slippery and the water can rise suddenly after rain; keep clear of the current.
