Narayanganj · Village life and culture

What you can see and do

At Noapara in the Tarabo area of Rupganj, beside the Shitalakshya, weavers make jamdani by hand in house after house. Two weavers sit side by side working the motifs into the cloth, and a single sari can take weeks or months. Here you can watch this UNESCO-recognised craft and buy directly from the makers.
