What you can see and do

The wetlands of Satla village in Uzirpur fill with red water lilies from late monsoon until autumn. To see them open, be at the ghat before sunrise, because the petals shut once the day warms up. From the ghat a small dinghy takes you out among the flowers. Villagers also harvest the lilies to sell as a vegetable.

How to get there

From Barishal city go via Shikarpur to Satla in Uzirpur, about one and a half to two hours by bus; boats can be hired there.
