What you can see and do
Ranikhong Catholic Mission goes back to the early 20th century. It sits on top of a high hillock on the bank of the Someshwari. From its calm compound of church, school and trees you look down on the curving river and across to the hills of Meghalaya. The mission is the centre of life for the Garo Christian community of the area.
How to get there
From Durgapur, cross the Someshwari and go about 6 km by motorbike or auto-rickshaw; it is on the way to Bijoypur.
