What you can see and do

Madhutila Eco Park, laid out in reserve forest along the border in Nalitabari upazila, has low hills, sal woods and a lake. A watchtower stands on a high hill. Climb it and the Meghalaya ranges across the border come into view. Wild elephants move through this area, so it is best not to go deep into the forest alone.

How to get there

About 30 km north of Sherpur town via Nalitabari or Nanni Bazar; around an hour by CNG auto-rickshaw.

Safety notes

Check the entry rules and permits with the forest department or local authority first; do not go deep without a guide.
