Padma Riverside and T-Bandh
What you can see and do
The Padma embankment runs along the whole southern edge of Rajshahi city, with a long walkway and places to sit. Lalon Shah Park, the T-Bandh and Padma Garden are the parts that fill up in the afternoon. In the dry season a boat will set you down on the sandbars across the river. Watching the river change colour at sunset is a local habit.
How to get there
The riverbank is 5 to 10 minutes by rickshaw from Shaheb Bazar in the centre of Rajshahi.
Safety notes
Wear a life jacket on a boat; stay off the river when a storm is likely.
