What you can see and do

At Puthia a palace shares its pond-ringed grounds with a cluster of old temples. The large Shiva temple on its high plinth, the five-spired Govinda temple covered in terracotta plaques, the Dol Mancha and the Ahnik temple are all within walking distance. Few places in the country show so many temple styles together.

How to get there

Puthia is about 30 km to the east of Rajshahi city on the Natore highway. Get off the bus there and go 1 km by van or on foot.

Safety notes

Do not climb on old walls or ruins or write on them; check the opening hours and closing days first.
