What you can see and do

Kusumba Mosque in Manda upazila was built in the mid-16th century in the Bengal Sultanate style. The masonry is brick, faced with stone. That stone is dark, so many call the mosque the Black Gem. The six-domed mosque printed on five-taka notes of the earlier design is this one. Right in front is a pond, a very large one.

How to get there

Manda is about 35 km south of Naogaon town on the way to Rajshahi. The mosque stands right by the highway and is easy to reach by bus.

Safety notes

Dress modestly at a place of worship, keep quiet during prayers and ask before taking photographs.
