Patenga Sea Beach
What you can see and do
The Karnaphuli empties into the Bay of Bengal right alongside Patenga beach. Sitting on the paved walkway or the concrete blocks, you can see the large ships waiting to enter the port, and the sunset. In the evening the stalls selling fried seafood and snacks get busy.
How to get there
From central Chattogram, a bus, CNG or a car on the elevated expressway reaches Patenga in 30 to 60 minutes.
Safety notes
Follow the lifeguards and flags before you enter the sea; stay out of deep water at high tide or in heavy surf.
