Guliakhali Sea Beach
What you can see and do
At Guliakhali in Sitakunda the shore is covered in green grass rather than sand, dotted with keora mangrove trees and their breathing roots. The tide cuts small channels through the turf, which sets this beach apart from others. Walking around is easier if you find out beforehand when the tide is in and when it is out.
How to get there
Take a bus from Chattogram to Sitakunda bazar. From there a CNG auto-rickshaw covers the roughly 5 km to the Guliakhali embankment.
Safety notes
Follow the lifeguards and flags before you enter the sea; stay out of deep water at high tide or in heavy surf.
