What you can see and do

In 1924 a hill stream was dammed by the Assam Bengal Railway, and that is how this lake came about. The lake is artificial and takes its name from the engineer Foy. It winds between the green hillocks of Khulshi; you can go round it by boat, and there is an amusement park alongside. It offers hills and calm water without leaving the city.

How to get there

Start from GEC Circle in Chattogram city. A CNG or rickshaw gets you to the Foy's Lake gate at Pahartali in 10 to 15 minutes.

Safety notes

Keep phones and money safe in crowds; start early to avoid the traffic.
