What you can see and do

More than 700 soldiers lie buried in this cemetery beside Cumilla Cantonment. They lost their lives on the Burma front in the Second World War. The rows of headstones and trimmed lawns on the sloping hillock are kept neat under Commonwealth War Graves Commission supervision. Speak softly here so that the quiet of the place is not broken.

How to get there

Take a CNG or bus from Cumilla town along the Sylhet road. After about 9 km the cemetery is right by the roadside, near the cantonment.

Safety notes

Do not climb on old walls or ruins or write on them; check the opening hours and closing days first.
