What you can see and do

Popular tradition calls this Behula and Lakhindar's bridal chamber; what you find on arrival is a tall mound of brick. Digging at this mound in Gokul village uncovered more than a hundred sealed cells and, built up in steps above them, the base of an ancient shrine. Climb to the top for a view across the surrounding fields.

How to get there

Gokul village lies to the south of Mahasthangarh. It is about 2 km away; auto-rickshaws run directly from Bogura town.

Safety notes

Do not climb on old walls or ruins or write on them; check the opening hours and closing days first.
