What you can see and do

The old palace of the Dinajpur royal family stands in the Rajbati area on the north-eastern edge of Dinajpur town. Much of the Rani Mahal, Aina Mahal and Thakurbari Mahal is now in ruins, but the gateways, arches and columns still hint at its former grandeur. Its Krishna and Durga temples are still in use.

How to get there

About 15 minutes by rickshaw or auto-rickshaw from the centre of Dinajpur town to the Rajbati area.

Safety notes

Do not climb on old walls or ruins or write on them; check the opening hours and closing days first.
