What you can see and do

The sand here stretches for about 120 km. It is often counted among the longest natural beaches in the world, with no break along its length. The crowds gather mostly around Laboni, Sugandha and Kolatoli; walk a little way south and the sand is much quieter. Follow the red flags and lifeguard instructions when entering the water.

How to get there

From the bus terminal, railway station or airport in Cox's Bazar town, an auto-rickshaw reaches Laboni or Sugandha point in 10 to 20 minutes.

Safety notes

Follow the lifeguards and flags before you enter the sea; stay out of deep water at high tide or in heavy surf.
