Bhutiar Lotus Wetland
What you can see and do
Bhutiar Beel in Terokhada upazila fills with pink lotus across a wide stretch of water during the monsoon. The thing to do is hire a small dinghy and drift between the flowers and leaves; blooms are at their best from dawn to mid-morning, so arrive early.
How to get there
Cross the river from Jelkhana Ghat in Khulna city, go by bus or motorcycle to Terokhada, then take a van to the wetland ghat.
Safety notes
Wear a life jacket on a boat; stay off the river when a storm is likely.
