What you can see and do

Baro Shibaloy is a cluster of twelve Shiva temples standing side by side in Bel-Amla village on the bank of the Chhoto Jamuna. The small shrines, arranged around a courtyard, are almost identical in form. A large fair is held at Shiva Chaturdashi in early spring; at other times the place is quiet.

How to get there

3 to 4 km north-west of Joypurhat town; a 20-minute ride by rickshaw or auto-rickshaw.

Safety notes

Dress modestly at a place of worship, keep quiet during prayers and ask before taking photographs.
