What you can see and do

Altadighi is an ancient pond more than a kilometre long, lying right against the Indian border in Dhamoirhat upazila. The sal forest around it, together with the pond, forms a national park. Walk the forest trails, look for tall termite mounds, and watch birds on the water in winter.

How to get there

Dhamoirhat is about 55 km north of Naogaon town; from there it is roughly 5 km more by auto-rickshaw.

Safety notes

Check the entry rules and permits with the forest department or local authority first; do not go deep without a guide.
