By bus, train, launch and air: fares, how long it takes and where it leaves from.
The government fare is from the transport authority's (BRTA) chart for non-AC buses, per seat. AC fares are set by the companies.
Last checked: 22 September 2026
Sayedabad to Rangamati (via Cumilla, Feni, Chattogram) is 307 km on BRTA's list; the regulated non-AC fare, tolls included, is Tk 955 on a 40-seat bus and Tk 749 on a 51-seat bus. Direct coaches are few: two ticketing platforms showed 6 and 7 trips for 12 Oct 2026 (non-AC Tk 950 on Hanif, S. Alam, Shyamoli NR and Dolphin; AC from Tk 1,300 to 1,900: Saintmartin Paribahan 1,300, Relax and Soudia 1,400, Saintmartin Hyundai and Shyamoli NR 1,900). S. Alam's coaches start from Abdullahpur and Chandra. Otherwise go to Chattogram and take a Rangamati bus there (the Chattogram district portal names Paban and BRTC). To Kaptai the list gives 286 km and Tk 891/699; Lal Sobuj advertises Dhaka–Kaptai AC from Tk 1,100.
There is no direct intercity train between these two districts.
