By bus, train, launch and air: fares, how long it takes and where it leaves from.
The government fare is from the transport authority's (BRTA) chart for non-AC buses, per seat. AC fares are set by the companies.
Last checked: 22 September 2026
Bandhan (City Bandhan Paribahan), Utsab (Utsab Transport) and BRTC buses run between Gulistan and Narayanganj by the Link Road; the two private companies run over a hundred buses (bdnews24, 3 May 2026). BRTA's Dhaka Metro chart gives Sayedabad-Narayanganj via the Link Road as 16.2 km Tk 44 and via Postogola 15.8 km Tk 43; a third chart gives Tk 49 from Chankharpul and Tk 77 from Gabtoli to Chashara. No chart from Gulistan was found. In practice Bandhan and Utsab charged Tk 55 from 1 May 2026 and Tk 60 since 22 Sep 2026; BRTC charged Tk 45 in May 2026. Student groups demanded a ceiling of Tk 55 by 3 Oct 2026 and threatened to stop buses from 6 Oct; the outcome is not known. BRTC's list shows about 40 minutes from 1 No. Rail Gate to Gulistan early in the morning; no other time is sourced. AC fares could not be confirmed.
There is no direct intercity train between these two districts.
