By bus, train, launch and air: fares, how long it takes and where it leaves from.
Last checked: 8 October 2026
Hanif Enterprise and JR Paribahan leave from Kallyanpur and Gabtoli and go via the Jamuna Bridge, Bonpara and the Lalon Shah Bridge, as do Shyamoli NR Travels' Meherpur buses from Kallyanpur; Golden Line from Gulistan and Abdullahpur uses the Padma Bridge and Rajbari. By the Roads and Highways Department's distance tool the Jamuna Bridge road is about 250 km and the Padma Bridge road about 196 km. BRTA's chart re-fixed on 22 Sep 2026 lists Kushtia only from Gabtoli by the Paturia ferry: 151 km via Goalanda and Rajbari at Tk 436 in a 51-seat bus and Tk 555 in a 40-seat bus, or 230 km via Faridpur, Magura and Jhenaidah at Tk 625 / Tk 797. The district portal likewise describes the Paturia ferry and Rajbari road (about 160 km) as the way from Dhaka. The Jamuna Bridge and Padma Bridge services seen online run longer routes that are not in the chart and charge more, so no regulated fare and no single distance are shown here. Counters were quoting Tk 700–800 non-AC and Tk 900 AC for travel on 12 Oct 2026 (seen 8 Oct 2026 on Shohoz and bdtickets). Only Golden Line listed AC coaches.
Note: On 3 Oct 2026 the DMP commissioner said the Gulistan and Fulbaria bus terminals would be moved to Chunkutia, Keraniganj within three months, with all buses for 19 southern districts planned to move there. Check the boarding point with the operator before you travel.
