BRTA lists two Dhaka (Mohakhali)-Jamalpur routes: via Ashulia, Tangail and Madhupur 173 km, Tk 415 (51-seat) / Tk 529 (40-seat); via Bhaluka and Mymensingh 202 km, Tk 486/620. Rajib Paribahan, run by the Jamalpur bus owners' association, has 55-60 buses on the Mymensingh way; BRTC, Sherpur Travels and a few others also run there, and about 50 buses under various names go via Tangail from Jamalpur's inter-district terminal, locally called Tangail bus stand (Prothom Alo, 4 Sep 2026). There was no AC bus on the Mymensingh way in September 2026. Journey time was not found in a reliable source. Long-distance buses from Jamalpur were stopped for about nine hours on 3 Sep 2026 after protests over Rajib Paribahan accidents.
