The government fare is from the transport authority's (BRTA) chart for non-AC buses, per seat. AC fares are set by the companies.

BRTA lists two Sayedabad–Chandpur routes: via Cumilla and Hajiganj, 157 km (Tk 503 on a 40-seat bus, Tk 394 on a 51-seat bus), and via Gouripur and Matlab, 97 km (Tk 313/245). Local reporting places Padma's Dhaka–Chandpur buses on the Cumilla–Chandpur regional highway, so the first route's fare is given. Al-Arafah Express runs to Dhaka on the Hajiganj–Kachua–Gouripur road, but its route permit is disputed and clashes between the two sides stopped buses several times in 2025 and 2026, so it is not listed as an operator here. No source gave a current ticket price or journey time for the bus (a travel site listed Padma Exclusive non-AC at Tk 350 in 2024; nothing newer was found). The district portal gives only launch timings for Dhaka–Chandpur (around 20 launches a day from Sadarghat). RHD's district distance matrix puts the shortest Dhaka–Chandpur road route at 115 km.

Runs all day: the Chandpur ghat lessee's list (updated 30 Nov 2025) shows about 20 sailings from Dhaka between 06:45 and 00:30. From 24 Sep 2026 the deck fare rose from Tk 200 to Tk 220 (the official 68 km calculation is about Tk 216); chair and cabin fares differ by vessel and were not confirmed. BIWTA says the number of launches at Chandpur fell after the fuel price rise, so check the time before you go. The trip takes 3-4 hours (per Wikivoyage, undated).
