What you can see and do

Munshibari, in Dharanibari union of Ulipur upazila, is an old zamindar house whose design blends Mughal and British-period styles. Along with the two-storey main building there are a nat mandir, Durga and Shiva temples and a pond. It has been a protected monument of the Department of Archaeology since 2018, but neglect has left the building quite run-down.

How to get there

Ulipur is about 20 km south of Kurigram town; from there Munshibari in Dharanibari is about 2 km by auto-rickshaw.

Safety notes

Do not climb on old walls or ruins or write on them; check the opening hours and closing days first.
