What you can see and do
This Buddhist meditation centre in the forest at Shantipur in Panchhari upazila has a Buddha statue about 50 feet tall, one of the largest in the country. Small meditation huts for the monks are scattered through the wide wooded grounds. It is a very quiet place, so keep your voice low and dress modestly.
How to get there
Take a bus or CNG about 25 km from Khagrachhari town to Panchhari, then an auto-rickshaw to Shantipur.
