What you can see and do

Sajek Valley lies in Rangamati's Baghaichhari upazila, on a hill ridge about 1,800 feet high. Along the ridge are the villages of Ruilui and Konglak. At dawn cloud fills the valley. Climb up to Konglak and the Mizoram ranges show in the distance. The road, however, comes in through Khagrachhari, not Rangamati, and you travel it under security escort.

How to get there

The usual route starts from Khagrachhari town and goes via Dighinala. You travel by jeep. It takes about three hours.

Safety notes

Hill paths turn slippery in the rains and landslides are possible; be down before dusk and take a local guide where needed.
