What you can see and do

The Jadukata river flows in from the Meghalaya hills. In winter it runs clear and blue-green between wide sandbanks. From the top of Barek Tila beside it you can see the bend of the river, lines of boats collecting sand and stone, and the hills across the border. It looks best in the light before sunset.

How to get there

Take a motorbike or CNG from Sunamganj town via Bishwambharpur to Laurer Garh, about 1.5 hours; Barek Tila is just across the river.

Safety notes

Wear a life jacket on a boat; stay off the river when a storm is likely.
