Chitra River and Bandha Ghat
What you can see and do
The calm Chitra river runs through the middle of Narail town. Sit on the steps of Bandha Ghat, a pillared landing built in the landlord era, or hire a country boat for a slow ride; Narail's well-known boat race is held on this river after the monsoon.
How to get there
Inside Narail town, on the Chitra bank near Victoria College; go by rickshaw or easy bike.
Safety notes
Wear a life jacket on a boat; stay off the river when a storm is likely.
