What you can see and do
This vast palace of the Bhawal estate zamindars at Joydebpur has several hundred rooms, a dance pavilion and long verandas. The estate's second prince, believed dead, came back as an ascetic; out of that grew the much-discussed Bhawal Sannyasi case, with this house at its centre. It now houses the district administration, so you mostly see it from the grounds.
How to get there
It is in Joydebpur in Gazipur town. Joydebpur station is close by. A rickshaw from there takes a few minutes.
