What you can see and do

This sal forest beside the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway is a large stretch of green within easy reach of the capital. Walk the red-earth trails and sit by one of the lakes when you tire; you will spot birds in the trees too. The forest is at its greenest after the monsoon, when the new leaves are out.

How to get there

From Gazipur Chowrasta, take any Mymensingh-bound bus a few kilometres to the park's main gate.

Safety notes

Check the entry rules and permits with the forest department or local authority first; do not go deep without a guide.
