By bus, train, launch and air: fares, how long it takes and where it leaves from.
The government fare is from the transport authority's (BRTA) chart for non-AC buses, per seat. AC fares are set by the companies.

JR Paribahan and Royal Express run from Gabtoli, Sayedabad and Abdullahpur via Magura, Jhenaidah and Chuadanga (ferry or Padma Bridge); Shyamoli NR Travels, KTC Hanif (listed separately from Hanif Enterprise) and some JR buses leave from Kallyanpur and go via the Jamuna Bridge and Kushtia; Purbasha runs from Gabtoli Mazar Road and Abdullahpur, Golden Line from Abdullahpur and Gulistan. BRTA's chart re-fixed on 22 Sep 2026 (Tk 2.40 per km plus toll) lists Gabtoli–Meherpur via the Paturia ferry, Faridpur, Magura, Jhenaidah and Chuadanga (249 km) at Tk 671 in a 51-seat bus and Tk 855 in a 40-seat bus. Its other Meherpur route, by the Aricha–Kazirhat ferry, Pabna and the Lalon Shah Bridge (315 km), is Tk 829 / Tk 1,057; Padma Bridge and Jamuna Bridge buses are not listed separately. Counters were quoting Tk 750–800 non-AC and Tk 1,100–1,400 AC for travel on 12 Oct 2026 (seen 8 Oct 2026 on Shohoz and bdtickets). Single AC departures at Tk 900 and Tk 1,000 were also listed.
Note: On 3 Oct 2026 the DMP commissioner said the Gulistan and Fulbaria bus terminals would be moved to Chunkutia, Keraniganj within three months, with all buses for 19 southern districts planned to move there. Check the boarding point with the operator before you travel.
There is no direct intercity train between these two districts.
Meherpur has no airport. From the airport it is another 103.1 km by road.
Not a daily route: on some days there is no flight at all. US-Bangla suspended it from 16 July 2026 and returned on 9 Sep 2026 with six flights a week (announced as two a day on Saturday, Wednesday and Thursday: from Dhaka 09:30 and 16:45, from Jashore 10:45 and 18:00; the bookable schedule for 12-18 October shows Tue 1, Wed 2, Thu 1, Sat 2). Biman flies twice a week, Tuesday and Friday evenings (from Jashore 18:15). Novoair has left the route. Flights may be cut again if demand stays low, so check the day before booking.
