What you can see and do

Rabindranath stayed in this kuthibari near the Padma whenever the Tagore family's zamindari work brought him to Shilaidaha. Much of Sonar Tari and Chitra was written here, and the English translation of Gitanjali was begun here too. The house has three storeys and a pyramid-shaped roof. It is now a museum, with his furniture and photographs on show.
