What you can see and do

Trains still cross the red steel Hardinge Bridge, though it opened back in 1915. This stretch of the Padma is at Paksey in Ishwardi; right beside the Hardinge, the Lalon Shah Bridge carries the road on a parallel line. From a seat on the bank you have both bridges in view, and the sunset too. You can also stroll through Paksey's British-era railway colony.

How to get there

About 30 km from Pabna town via Ishwardi; around an hour by bus or CNG auto-rickshaw.

Safety notes

Do not climb on old walls or ruins or write on them; check the opening hours and closing days first.
