What you can see and do

This palace in the town of Mymensingh dates from the start of the 20th century. Maharaja Shashikanta Acharya Chowdhury of Muktagacha had it put up. In front of the palace is a garden; behind it, a pond and a two-storey bathing pavilion. The garden's marble fountain carries a figure of the goddess Venus. For many years it housed a training college for women teachers; it is now a museum.
