What you can see and do

Some fifty abandoned buildings stand at Panam Nagar in Sonargaon, all of them on either side of one narrow street. Wealthy Hindu cloth merchants built them in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Walking past peeling plaster, iron railings and arches gives a sense of a town that emptied out.

How to get there

Come to Mograpara crossing in Sonargaon. From there take a rickshaw; from the folk art museum you can walk.

Safety notes

Do not climb on old walls or ruins or write on them; check the opening hours and closing days first.
