Momin Mosque
What you can see and do
In Burirchar village of Mathbaria, Momin Uddin Akon had this mosque built entirely of wood in the early 20th century, reportedly without iron nails. The doors, wall panels and posts are carved with floral patterns and calligraphy and coloured with natural dyes; the detail is best seen up close.
How to get there
Bus from Pirojpur town to Mathbaria, then an auto-rickshaw or motorcycle to Burirchar village.
