What you can see and do
Majuchowdhurir Hat on the Meghna near Lakshmipur town is a ferry ghat, launch ghat and outing spot in one. Ferries and launches leave the ghat for Bhola and Barishal. In the afternoon people gather by the sluice gate and the riverbank. In hilsa season you can watch fresh fish being landed at the ghat.
How to get there
A CNG auto-rickshaw from Lakshmipur town covers the roughly 10 km in about half an hour.

Wear a life jacket on a boat; stay off the river when a storm is likely.
