What you can see and do
Carew & Co at Darshana dates from 1938, and few sugar mills in the country are as old. A sugar mill, a distillery and wide cane farms fill its grounds. You can see British-era brick buildings and, in the winter crushing season, lines of carts and trucks loaded with cane.
How to get there
Take a bus or train from Chuadanga town to Darshana, about 20 km away. To look round the factory, ask the management for permission first.
