Tetulia and Banglabandha Zero Point
Panchagarh · Rivers and haors
October – December
Unlike Sylhet or Chattogram, where tea grows on hill slopes, Panchagarh grows it on completely flat land. Tea came to these fields around the year 2000; it has now spread across Tetulia, with bushes in home yards as well as on large estates. In plucking season, village roads also give views of gardens across the border.
On the way from Panchagarh town to Tetulia you see gardens to left and right of the road; hiring an auto-rickshaw or van is the convenient way to see them.
Follow the estate’s rules before entering; do not pick leaves or disturb the workers.
Put together from the site’s own information. Check the weather and local conditions before you go.
