Shakuni Lake
What you can see and do
Shakuni Lake lies in the very centre of Madaripur town and was dug in the first half of the 20th century to raise land for the new town. A paved walkway and benches run round the bank. Come in the afternoon and you will see how the people of the town spend their time here. When the lights come on in the evening the lakeside comes alive.
How to get there
It is in the town centre, a few minutes by rickshaw from the bus stand.
