What you can see and do

A short way from Chhoto Sona Mosque, among mango orchards, Darasbari is the ruin of a 15th-century mosque and the madrasa beside it. The mosque has lost its roof, but the terracotta designs on its red brick walls are still sharp. Few madrasa buildings still standing in Bengal are believed to be older than this.

How to get there

Take a bus from Chapainawabganj town to the Sona Masjid area, then go about 1 km by van or on foot along the orchard track.

Safety notes

Do not climb on old walls or ruins or write on them; check the opening hours and closing days first.
