Before you go
- Entering the Sundarbans needs a Forest Department permit: take a multi-day trip on the launch of a registered operator from Khulna or Mongla.
- Never leave the group in the forest, and never go ashore without a forest guard.
- Fishing and visits may be stopped from June to August; winter is the best time.
